Prior to founding CASE, Federico Negro was one of the managers for the design and construction of the 290 Mulberry Street Condominiums, SHoP Architect's pilot BIM project. His responsibilities, beyond those immediate to the project, included the strategic planning and implementation of firm-wide BIM standards. Federico's focus is on the use of design technologies for coordination, management and implementation of specialty fabrication components and construction. He has lead these efforts on numerous projects, including 290 Mulberry's custom undulating brick and pre-cast concrete facade, 39571 Project's curving timber roof structure, and daylight control screens for an athletic center at Brown University. He has collaborated on design studios and seminars at Yale University's School of Architecture and Columbia University's GSAPP, as well as several publications on integrated design, including "SHoP Works, Collaborazioni costruttive in digitale" of the IT Revolution in Architecture series. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Parsons The New School for Design (High Hons) and a BS in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.
