CASE was hired by Grimshaw Architects to provide project support and technology integration services for the project team of the new 250,000 sq. ft. $275-million Miami Science Museum. These efforts were supported by a US Department of Energy Renewable Energy Project Grant awarded to the museum in order to enable the research, design and planning necessary for a full integration of renewable energy resources and optimal energy efficiency during early concept design. As part of this grant, CASE was brought in to streamline the exchange of building information models and analytical data between Grimshaw and their consultants: Arup and Rodriguez and Quiroga Architects. As a result of these efforts, Grimshaw was able to receive more timely feedback on their design proposals, improving their ability to refine their early design concepts to better achieve project goals.
