Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects (TWBTA) chose to implement BIM on a new dormitory for Haverford College outside of Philadelphia. The dormitory was designed as several freestanding buildings that needed to be organized and documented as part of a single document set. To accomplish this, the firm hired CASE to develop custom BIM workflows that would link multiple models, enabling TWBTA to effectively manage the design and documentation of individual buildings and the collection as a whole. CASE also migrated the firms rigorous CAD standards to BIM and led a series of project-specific workshops focused on BIM-based documentation and coordination that maximized the design team’s efforts throughout the Design Development and Construction Document phases. As an extension to these efforts, CASE also offered onsite support throughout the process with model audits and reports. The project was successfully delivered using BIM and is currently slated to be completed August 2012
