Cliff Kuang on Building a Better Brick

I was interviewed by Cliff toward the end of last year on the use of brick on 290 Mulberry.  Here's his article on good.is about the reinvention of materials through the use of technology, as well as innovation in material sciences.

Thanks ArchDaily! CASE featured on ArchDaily blog

We want to thank our good friends David Assael and David Basulto at ArchDaily for showing their support for our cause!  These guys have changed the architecture is viewed online, and have opened an incredible venue for small offices to reach a wide audience.  It is great to have their backing...

Thanks guys!

Parsons | School of Constructed Environments | Design Workshop

Here's a video from PLAID's (Parsons School of Constructed Environments) Design Workshop program run by David Lewis of LTL.  I was interviewed last year specifically for my role in bringing in the program to help out Katrina-ravaged DeLisle, a small town in coastal Mississippi.

Fed speaks on Integrated Design

Kiel Moe launched his new book "Integrated Design in Contemporary Architecture" at the Architectural League of New York in November and invited me to present my work on the 290 Mulberry Condominiums.  Kiel's book focuses on how technology enables further integration of the design process.

Fed and Steve at LA Design Technology Forum

Steve and I, along with Nash Hurley, spoke at the Los Angeles Design Technology Forum in July 2007 about our work at SHoP Architects. We discussed the importance of R&D efforts within the building industry, especially architectural offices, commenting on issues of coordinated design and management, as well as, the role of environmental analysis in the design process.

Fed on Transformative Design Tools

In April 2007, I was interviewed by Architectural Record for an article called "Transformative Tools Start to Take Hold." The author outlines the broad basis of BIM and then describes through a series of case studies with owners, architects, engineers and builders, how BIM specifically impacted their projects.

Fed in The New York Times

Back in November 2006 The New York Times published an article on the Parsons School of Design's building of an information center and laundromat in the Katrina-ravaged town of DeLisle, Mississippi.
